Quick Update/Fundraising

Hello family and friends!

This is a quick update to let you know of some very important news that are happening with us. As many of you know, we have been in the process of Church Planting classes for preparation for Peru and are almost at the end of it. 

Our year ended in the house we were living at, and now we are staying at the mission's house. This is a house the church provides for missionaries in furlough or for those missionaries that are on their way overseas. It has been such a blessing for us to have a place to live while we focus on our to do list for departure. Since the move we have been getting rid of the few things we had and trying to minimize as much as we can in preparation for the move to Peru. As we get closer to our big day, we are getting some things done such as our Peruvian documents, budget and fundraising process, homeschool preparation for next year, paperwork and steps for our dogs to be shipped to Peru, and lots of prayer for our transition. All these things feel overwhelming and stressful, BUT we serve a God that owns a cattle on a thousand hills and the God that knows our every step! We rely on Him as we move forward and continue to take small steps of faith to do His will.

Eliya and Ezra

Our kids have gone through a lot of changes and adjustments, but the Lord continues to surprise us with how well they are doing and how they have integrated at Antioch and the community here in Ft. Worth.

Eliya has started working in childcare at the church and has a few babysitting jobs with families of the church. She has gotten her CPR certificate and loves kids. She's also studying for her learners permit. We can't believe is happening. She's growing up so fast. She also is volunteering as a photographer at the church and volunteers in the children's ministry at Antioch.

Ezra has found a group of amazing boys he hangs out with. They all love Jesus and love to play hard. Ezra and one of his friends have started a team training for triathlons and they absolutely love it. In September he did his first mini triathlon and did amazing. He also wants to start practicing playing the guitar and loves to draw. So excited to see what God would do with all these talents and gifts of theirs in the mission field!

CP School

 

Church Planting School (CP School) is almost over. We did our CP intensive at the end of September in Arizona. This intensive is a gathering of people within the Antioch Movement that are launching to the nations in the next year. It was great meeting other couples/singles with the same desire to reach the nations for Jesus Christ. It was packed with lots of information in preparation for Peru, anywhere from learning how to make disciples, church planting, how to deal with team conflict, growth through suffering, how to immerse in a different culture and thrive, etc...  Our kids stayed in Fort Worth for that time, and Sandra's parents were able to fly to Fort Worth to spend time with them. It was a great time for our kids to spend time with grandparents. So thankful for them.

 

As many of you know our new set day for moving to Peru has changed to January 2026 and this is the time we will start fundraising as we prepare for Peru. Jeremy at some point will need to head to Peru to look for a house. Once we reach 50% of our budget we are able to take from that budget, which will allow Jeremy to move to part-time and work more on preparing for us to leave for Peru. Once we reach 80% we can buy our tickets and at 100% is when we can officially leave. So many big next steps but we are leaning in on the Lord and trusting Him that everything will fall into place, just like it has been since we moved here to Fort Worth.

We also wanted to let you know that our new fundraising account has moved from Trinity Fellowship to Antioch Ministries International/ Antioch Fort Worth. This is the last step before launching to Peru. For those that are already supporting us monthly, we will let you know when to switch to our new account. But for all our friends and family that desire to support us, our new information is below.

• Pray for our departure date. We are aiming for january. Please pray for provision to meet 100% so we can leave in January.

• Pray for wisdom and discernment on what steps to take for schooling for our kids as we enter Peru. 

• Pray for God to lead us in every decision, with every friendship and every place we go. 

• Pray for FTO homeless ministry and continual provision for them.

• Pray that God will continue to prepare and equip us to do His work here and in Peru.

• Pray for our kids as we, soon, make the transition to Peru. For peace and contentment as they trust God and walk by faith.

• Pray for wisdom on how and what we will be taking to Peru next year. 

• Pray for all the preparations to move to Peru, from the small details to big ones. Our dogs, a house in Peru, a car, all the paperwork for Peru, etc.
